How did you get started with brewing beer?

I always loved beer!! Had parties and just loved the science behind it. I was a computer network engineer and met an excellent resource in the beer industry. He took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. Taught me the principals of making great beer. The rest is history:-)

What is your favorite type of beer to brew and why?

Instead of saying type of beer, you should refer to style of beer. On that note, I like brewing all different styles of beer. Being in tune with the different techniques of brewing different styles of beer make a brewer well rounded. Beer is a culture. Unless you submerge yourself in the culture you can't understand the diversity of the culture. We aren't really brewers...We are yeast ranchers!!! We live and die by the health and viability of our yeast. Cheers to the yeast!!!!

What is your favorite type of beer and why?

My favorite style of beer is American Pale Ale. I love the aromatics, flavor, and bitterness of american style hops. Compliment that with an incredible compliment of malt and you have wonderful balance of hops, malt, and alcohol in one nice drinkable package.
