Lots of good news this month! To start out, you can now get Fulton to drink at home. No, we’re not talking about bottles, unfortunately. You can, however, purchase kegs (16 gallon only, so have some friends over) at Zipp’s. If you do purchase one, please be kind and return the empty as soon as possible.

We Found our Future Home!

For those who haven’t heard, we’ve found our future brewery space! As much as we love Pete’s garage, it was starting to get a little crowded. So, after months of searching and weeks of negotiating, we signed a lease for a 6,000 sq ft. building in downtown Minneapolis. Our new address is 414 6th Ave N. We’re right next to the light rail line, and some baseball team just built a new stadium about two blocks away as well. Once we’re up and running, we’ll be offering growlers, tours, samplings, special events, and all that fun stuff.

Turns out finding the building was the easy part, though. Now we have to design the layout, do some demolition and construction, secure financing, select our equipment, and start putting everything together once it comes. So, it will be months (and hopefully not years) before we’re up and operational. But don’t worry, you can still purchase the same Fultons you know & love in the mean time.

Coming in October: Our fall seasonal, The Libertine

We brewed The Libertine, our Imperial Red Ale, last week. The Libertine is a rich, thick-bodied ale brewed with Maris Otter, caramel and rye malts and British hops. It’s going to come in at just about 8.5% alcohol, so it’s the perfect beer to keep you warm as the days get cooler. Or, as Brian likes to say, it’s the perfect beer to drink while wearing a flannel and sitting around a fire on a crisp fall evening. We’ll announce the locations where The Libertine is available as we find out. It should start hitting bars in early-mid October.

Tuesday, September 21 – Barbette Beer Dinner

Simple, Good and Tasty (http://simplegoodtasty.com) and Barbette are coming together to create a wonderful beer pairing dinner. Along with the Lonely Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine, rumor has it they’ll be working the Worthy Adversary into the menu. Check out their website for tickets and more information.

Saturday, September 25th – Midwest Emmys Pre-Party @ Seven

Saturday, October 2nd – Autumn Brew Review

Each year, the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild puts on ABR at the old Grain Belt Brewery in Northeast Minneapolis. Dozens of breweries participate and thousands of people attend, so it’s a guaranteed good time. Unfortunately, tickets are already sold out, so if you weren’t able to pick them up, you’ll have to experience it vicariously through us. (Following us on Twitter is a good way to do so).
